There are many stories which are too good in this book but still there's a last story with itself named 'Kandalam' in which a small girl lives with her mother who are very poor wherein they can't even effort to have two meals per day. One day as they were walking down through a squishy path of coconut plantation this little girl saw a flower which exactly looked like a star. She forced her mother to get her those flowers. She questioned her mother if people like these flowers or not. If yes than can i sell those flowers in the market she asked. Reasoning it for a while her mother agrees to her and the little girl was very happy thinking that after selling those flowers, she will buy a pair of earings from the money she has earned.
But the next morning as she goes to pluck those flowers she gets a shock to see a man chopping down all the plants of kandalam flowers. She feels very sad, closes her eyes, starts crying and turns her back and walks away.

Sapanmogi

Title:-SAPANMOGI
Author:-Damodar Mauzo
Publication date:-1 August 2014

So here I am with my first post on my favourite book!
Sapanmogi is a short story book which is written by a great novelist, short story writer, critic and script writer in konkani language. There are all together 9 stories in this book. Some of the stories are very funny to read. They are so good that you just feel like reading it again and again.
His writing style is so simple that even if you are reading a book for the first time, you won't get bored. While reading the stories you'll find romance, some twist and turns and also thrilling suspense which will take you into a different world, and you won't even feel like closing the book without reading all the stories.
All the stories are very interesting but the one which i loved the most is the 'Vevhaar'. In this story, an entire life of the poor girl is shown who also has a boyfriend. She wanted to marry him because of his wealth. At the end she cheats on him and kills him by pushing him down from the terrace. And at last gets married to her boyfriend's elder brother.
I feel that this is a good book for children of age starting from 14 and above.

My rating for this book would be 5/5.
